Scholar's stones — gongshi — were collected by Chinese literati for a thousand years because they resembled miniature mountains and carried, in their form, the same energy as the landscapes they imitated. These candles adopt that logic: irregular, unglamorous on first glance, and then suddenly exactly right. Their imperfection is their argument.
