Dragon & Phoenix Carved Pillar
The dragon and phoenix together form the oldest paired symbol in Chinese culture — masculine and feminine, heaven and earth, power and grace. On this pillar, they spiral around each other in carved relief, neither dominant, neither subordinate. It is the oldest argument for balance, and it has never needed updating.
